Continuation of Cooke by an unknown author, with the title: The arms and creations of most of the nobility from William the Conqueror till 1586. A later hand continues to James I, and there are references as late as 1655. Many arms in color.

English antiquary and collector. He began collecting while at Rugby School and Oxford. On inheriting his father's estate at Middle Hill in Worcestershire, Phillipps embarked on a career of collecting manuscripts and books. His collection of manuscripts eventually numbered over 60,000 items. Robert Cooke was Clarenceux King of Arms. From the description of Pedigrees of the nobility [manuscript], ca. 1575? (Folger Shakespeare Library).
